What’s new in the latest software for my Golfer watch?

We are committed to continuously improving the performance and overall user experience for TomTom Golfer. Since the introduction, we have released several software updates to add new functionality, improve the user experience, improve performance and fix problems.

We are constantly reviewing the feedback received by TomTom Customer Support, the TomTom Discussions forum and other channels. Where possible we will continue to improve performance and ease of use.

Below is a detailed overview of all the improvements and fixes that we have released so far:

  • We have improved Android 6.0 compatibility.

Version 1.0.22

Released on 10 December 2015
  • Various performance improvements and bug fixes have been implemented.

Version 1.0.21

  • We have changed the order of the scorecards history to have most recent at the top.
  • We have added language support for Finnish, Indonesian and Malay.
  • Various performance improvements and bug fixes have been implemented.

  • For some languages the translations have been improved.

Version 1.0.19

Released on  6 August 2015
  • In the Range screen, the back, centre and front distances to the green are now shown "as the crow flies" rather than being based on the centre line of the hole.

Version 1.0.16

  • We increased the number of golf courses covered, especially in remoter locations. To get these courses you need to reinstall all courses globally using MySports Connect.
    Note: Reinstalling all courses can take up to two hours.

Version 1.0.14

  • In the Hazards view, tap the screen to see hazards in more detail with actual distances.
  • Minor bug fixes and performance improvements have been made.

Version 1.0.13

  • Set a reminder alert to fill in your scorecard as you walk off the green (Scorecard prompt: On/Off).
  • This software update makes the Bluetooth ® Smart connection to your Android and iOS MySports mobile app more reliable.
    You can now pair your watch with several Android Lollipop devices to upload your activities.
    For compatibility visit the Google Play Store.

    Important:

    • You must update your MySports mobile app to version 1.3.0 for Android and 1.0.9 for iOS or higher.
    • After this update you need to pair your watch with your smartphone again.
  • For some languages the translations have been improved.

To get the most out of your watch we recommend that you reinstall all courses globally.
Note: Reinstalling all courses can take up to two hours.

  • The Hazards view has been simplified to provide at-a-glance distances.
  • Dogleg direction and corner distance are now included in the Hazards view.
  • Distance to dogleg in the Hazards view is now measured along the course centre line.
  • Your watch now advances to the next hole more quickly.
  • Language support has been added for Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
  • For some languages the translations have been improved.
  • Minor bug fixes and performance improvements have been made.

Version 1.0.05

  • You can now pause your round at the turn or continue a previous round.
  • For holes where hazard information is not yet available, you will see a ‘No Info’ message in the Hazards view.
  • For holes where there are no upcoming hazards, you will see a check mark in the Hazards view.
  • Incremental course updates can now be received.
