TomTom Runner 3 / Runner 2 / Spark 3 / Spark / Adventurer watches:

  • On the Latest tab and on Today’s summary we now show your progress towards reaching your daily goal more clearly.
TomTom Golfer watches:
  • With this release the TomTom Sports app now supports Golfer watches. We have ensured a seamless migration of your existing golf rounds and details to the Sports app. Your rounds are now stored in the cloud.
  • The TomTom Sports app now presents details such as tee shot pattern, putts, greens in regulation and scores for your golf rounds and also adds support for sharing golf activities.
  • The TomTom Sports app now shows trends such as greens in regulation, average putts per round, tee shot pattern and the ultimate for all the golf rounds played.

  • The TomTom Sports App now presents your Fitness Age, VO2 max and a 7day timeline of your Fitness Points.
  • Change your goal to a Fitness Points Goal to see your points progress on a compatible watch.
  • See available Structured Workouts for your watch in the Manage tab, and view your performance against any workout in activity details.

  • Auto pause
    You can now control which activities use auto pause. On the Manage tab, tap Settings > Auto pause to apply auto pause for the following activities:
    • Running
    • Cycling
    • Trail running
    • Hiking
    • Freestyle
    • Ski
    • Snowboard
    Note: This setting only applies to automatic pause detection on the TomTom Sports website and mobile app. It does not impact the setting for auto pause on your watch. See also: Auto pause
  • Peer comparisons
    You can now compare your weekly 24/7 activity data (steps, calories, active time and duration) with people like you. Every step you record with a TomTom Sports device or import from Apple Health or Google Fit gives you insights into how you compare with your peers. To find the 24/7 weekly peer comparisons, go to the Trends tab and tap the summaries for your steps, calories, active time or duration trends.
    Note: You're shown the data for the previously completed week, depending on your setting for the first day of the week.
  • Software updates
    You are now notified in case the software on your TomTom Sports device isn't up-to-date. It is important to use the latest software available for your TomTom Sports device to ensure it is working correctly.
  • On the Trails screen, you can now tap a trail to be shown a map of a trail with its GPS track. You find Trails on the Manage tab.
  • You can now visit our Sports Blog from the Manage tab.
  • TomTom Touch
    Adjust Settings to wear it on either wrist and use glance gesture.
  • TomTom Touch Cardio + Body Composition
    You are now reminded if you have not measured body composition in a while.

  • Planning
    You can now view and sync your trails with your TomTom GPS watch using the Sports app. To do so, go to the Manage tab.
  • The Android version of the app is now available in China.

  • You can now configure the first day of the week using the TomTom Sports app. You can find this setting by going to the Manage tab, then Edit profile. Changing the first day of the week re-calculates all your Goals, Trends and Progress graph calculations. When you sync your compatible Sports device (see below), the new setting is applied to your TomTom Sports device.
    Tip: You can also set the first day of the week in your settings on the Sports website.
    Compatible devices:
    • TomTom Sports website and TomTom Sports App
    • All TomTom Activity Trackers
    • TomTom Runner 3, TomTom Spark 3, TomTom Adventurer*
    • TomTom Runner 2, TomTom Spark*
    * For now you can only sync the setting for the first day of the week to these devices using the TomTom Sports Connect desktop app.

  • You can now also import your weight from Google Fit (Android) or Apple Health (iOS).

  • Peer comparisons
    You can now compare your running and cycling activities with people of your age, gender and activity level in TomTom Sports. Every run or cycle you record gives you insights into how it compares to your peers, so you can monitor your performance and improvement over time.
    Note: We need your permission for this feature to work. You are asked to grant permission when you open the 7.0 Sports app. Peer comparisons are available in the TomTom Sports mobile app.

  • Android - Improved permissions system.
    We have created a better and clearer way of presenting the Android app permissions to you so you always understand what each permission is needed for.
  • Android - Phone compatibility information
    Phone compatibility is now checked when you pair and sync your TomTom Sports device. If your Android phone is incompatible, you are notified when pairing and syncing with your TomTom Sports device.
  • Automatic pause detection
    Your Runs, Trail Runs and Cycling metrics are no longer impacted by pauses. Automatic pause detection removes the time that you are stood still from your activity, giving you more accurate results. All your existing Activity details, Trends, Personal Bests and Goals will be recalculated to remove pauses as a result of this feature introduction.
  • QuickGPSfix
    We have added progress and status information for QuickGPSfix downloads. This way you'll always know if your TomTom Sports watch is ready to start your activity.
  • Trends
    You can view your 24/7 trends (steps, distance, calories, active time) even if you do not have an activity tracking goal set.
  • Share links to activities
    If you don't want to share pictures to social networks, you can now share just the links to your activities from the TomTom Sports mobile app. On the Activities detail screen, tap the button with 3 vertical dots to Share an activity.
  • Share snapshots of the Latest tab
    You can now share snapshots of your Latest tab screen from the TomTom Sports mobile app. The snapshots can be shared to social networks of your choice. Snapshots that have a map background can only be shared using an iOS device.
  • Daily activities history
    You can now see your daily activities history for every day on the Activities tab.

  • You can now import your 24/7 activity data from Google Fit (Android) or Apple Health (iOS). You can import steps, active time, distance, and calories. See your 24/7 data updated across both the TomTom Sports mobile app and web site in Goals, Trends, Progress, etc.
  • You can now use the Sports app to track your 24/7 activity data without having a TomTom Sports device paired.
  • You can now compare your 24/7 data (steps, active time, distance, calories) and your 24/7 heart rate to each other on the Daily Summary detailed graph.
  • You can now easily access your Trends from the Daily Summary detailed graphs for your 24/7 data (steps, active time, distance, calories) and 24/7 heart rate.
  • You can now easily access your historical 24/7 daily summaries from your 24/7 Trends Activities tab.
  • You can now dismiss the TomTom Sports app notification from appearing in the phone's system tray. This can be done from the TomTom Sports app by going to Manage >Device Settings.
  • We have improved the experience of using the app on iOS/Android tablets.

  • View your daily active summary every day. There is a new and engaging Daily Summary with your 24/7 activity data on the Latest tab and in a separate Daily Summary page.
  • View your 24/7 activity data per hour every day on the Daily Summary page by tapping on the steps, distance, duration or active time metric.
  • View your daily heart rate on the Daily Summary page by tapping on the heart rate metric.
  • Compare your 24/7 activity data per hour with your daily heart rate to see the impact of your activities on your heart rate throughout the day.
  • We have uploaded default social sharing images for you per sport for you to use if you don't feel like sharing your own picture.
  • We have simplified the social sharing flow to enable you to share with a single tap on a button.
  • We have added easy-to-follow video tips to show you how to easily pair your device.
  • We have added sync and pairing error handling in the app. If an error occurs, we encourage you to leave your feedback in the Sports app so we can help you solve it.
  • You can now view your GPS activities on a satellite map view. On the activity details page, tap the button with 3 vertical dots and select Satellite.
