What's new in the latest software for my Bandit Action Camera?

Version 1.61.508

Released on 20 September 2016

New features

  • You can now pair a new heart rate monitor from the heart rate metric screen as well as from within Settings.
  • In Photo mode, the Bandit mobile app now shows a 4:3 ratios view finder.
  • The view finder in the Bandit mobile app now shows 100 % of your photo.
  • If Heart is set to ON in Settings, there will be a metric screen visible. If Heart is set to OFF, there will be no HR metric screen visible.

  • The heart rate metric screen no longer shows Searching when it was actually not searching for a heart rate monitor.
  • If there is an issue with the memory card, a warning is now shown until you dismiss it.
  • If there is an issue with the memory card the camera stops recording and goes to sleep after a while. When you wake the camera up, you are now still shown an error message.
  • We fixed an issue that could cause the camera to reboot in Photo mode.

Version 1.57.500

Released on  6 June 2016

  • To give you colour-balanced underwater videos, the Underwater scene mode now uses the water colour and colour intensity to smoothly apply a red filter to remove excessive blue and green colours from your video. It performs best at depths down to 15 metres, but works below that depth as well. This scene only gets applied when you are under water, so your footage is great before you jump in too.
  • We’ve introduced automatic gain control for both the internal and the optional external microphone (via cable accessory) to make sure your audio is always of the highest quality in noisy environments.
  • Settings for the audio input are now remembered.
  • When recording longer videos which are split in separate 4GB files, the files are renamed so they can be recognised as part of a session recording.
  • Improvements have been made to the Bluetooth connectivity for the remote control and a heart rate monitor.
  • Other bug fixes and performance improvements have been made.
