Additional tips for navigation devices

If your TomTom navigation device is still not working properly, check the most common problems and their solutions below.

  • Your navigation device displays a white or a red cross when it is switched on

Getting your device repaired

To get your device repaired you need to contact us. To make sure you don't get an uneccessary repair, we do a final check to see if the issue can be resolved. If we come to the conclusion that the device is faulty, you need to provide proof of purchase, so we can check if your device is still covered by the warranty. If the warranty has expired, you are charged a fee for the device repair.

When we book in a device to be repaired, we give you a repair number (RMA), explain the repair process, and send you an email confirmation.

Repairing a TomTom product usually takes 10 to 20 working days after we receive the product at our service centre. If there's a very serious problem with your device, we may need to replace it. Make sure to make a backup of your device, if possible, before you send it to us.
