Support has ended for TomTom Navigation app for iPhone/iPad

Why support has ended

We work tirelessly to launch new technologies and deliver a great customer experience, and throughout the last 8 years we have continuously improved the quality of the TomTom Navigation app for iPhone/iPad.

However, with advances in both TomTom and Apple technologies, the challenges with keeping the app up-to-date and in line with other TomTom navigation products have constantly increased. It has become clear that the Navigation app can no longer deliver the great customer experience that we want our users to have.

How it will affect your app

From the 21st of September 2017 the following changes will happen:

  • You will not receive any more app or map updates.
  • You will not be able to buy new subscriptions to services, though your current subscriptions will continue to work until their end date.
  • You will not be able to buy celebrity voices.
  • Your app may continue to work as long as your iPhone is not updated to new iOS versions, but your map will become out-of-date and, as a result, navigation will become less accurate.

What you should do now

All users of the TomTom Navigation app for iPhone/iPad are entitled to a 3-year Unlimited Navigation subscription for our latest TomTom GO Mobile app for iPhone, at no additional cost. You can redeem this offer by opening your TomTom Navigation app for iPhone/iPad and visiting the TomTom Shop. After claiming your subscription, download and install the TomTom GO Mobile app for iPhone then enter your username and password in the app to activate your subscription.
