My music GPS watch is corrupted. What do I do?

If your music GPS watch cannot find music or if MySports Connect cannot read the memory of your watch, the memory of your watch is corrupted. If this happens, you need to format your watch.

Find below the steps for formatting your watch using Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP or Mac OS X.

Windows 10

  1. Press the Windows logo key  +E.

  2. Find your watch in the list on the left hand side. Note: Your watch might not have a label or name, but only a drive letter.

  3. Right click on the watch and select Format...

  4. In File system, make sure FAT32 is selected.

  5. Make sure Quick Format is not selected.

  6. Click Start. A warning is shown.

  7. Click OK.

    Windows formats your device.

  8. When the formatting is complete, click OK then click Close to close the format window.

Windows 8

  1. Press the Windows logo key  +E.

  2. Find your watch in the Devices with Removable Storage list. Note: Your watch might not have a label or name, but only a drive letter.

  3. Right click on the watch and select Format...

  4. In File system, make sure FAT32 is selected.

  5. Make sure Quick Format is not selected.

  6. Click Start. A warning is shown.

  7. Click OK.

    Windows formats your device.

  8. When the formatting is complete, click OK then click Close to close the format window.

Windows 7

  1. Click Start then click Computer.

  2. Find your watch in the Devices with Removable Storage list.

    Note: Your watch might not have a label or name, but only a drive letter.

  3. Right click on the watch and select Format...

  4. In File system, make sure FAT32 is selected.

  5. Make sure Quick Format is not selected.

Windows XP

  1. Click Start then click My Computer.

  2. Find your watch in the Devices with Removable Storage list.

  5. Make sure Quick Format is not selected.

Mac OS X

  1. From the Finder menu, click Go then click Utilities.

  2. Double-click Disk Utility.

  3. Disk Utility lists the available disks and their volumes. Select the volume for your watch.

  4. Click Erase and then select MS-DOS (FAT) from the Format drop-down menu.

  5. Click Erase.

    Disk Utility formats your watch.

  6. Click Done.
