Does the built-in Heart Rate Monitor work with each skin type and hairiness?

We tested the heart rate monitor across a wide population and we have not seen any big differences in performance caused by skin type, body fat percentage or body hair. The sensor and LED areas are big enough to be able work with hair on the wrist, and the light output is automatically adjusted to deal with higher or lower skin reflectance.

Wearing the sensor properly, comfortably tight on top of the wrist, positioned up from the wrist bone, and having a good warm-up are much more important.
