What is multitasking?
Multitasking lets you run multiple apps at the same time. This means you can continue to get spoken instructions while running another app in the foreground.
The following devices running iOS 4 or higher support multitasking:
Multitasking also lets other apps run in the background while you run TomTom App in the foreground.
Note: Apps running in the background may issue pop-ups that will obstruct TomTom App. Clear pop-ups only when it is safe for you to do so.

Multitasking and battery life
If you have a route planned and have not reached your destination, the TomTom App may keep calculating a route while running in the background. It will keep finding a GPS signal and giving turn-by-turn instructions and this can drain the battery when your iPhone is not charged.
