How do I restore a map from a backup? (TomTom HOME)

If you have made a backup using TomTom HOME, you can use the backup to restore your device to working order.
Connect your device to your computer and start TomTom HOME.
Click Backup and restore
Click Restore my device
When the restore process has completed, click Done.
Click the blue eject button in the bottom right of TomTom HOME to safely disconnect your device. Disconnect your device from your computer. Your device will now load the restored map.
If TomTom HOME displays a message saying that you do not have a backup, follow the steps below to look in further locations for a copy of your map.
Click Back to return to the main menu.
Click Add Traffic, Voices, Speed Cameras, etc then click on Items on my computer.
If there is a map in the list here, click the + button next to it then click Add.
Tip: If there is no map in the list then you have to add the map manually [ show me how... ]
Once the map has been restored to your device, click the blue eject button in the bottom right of TomTom HOME to safely disconnect your device. Disconnect your device from your computer. Your device will now load the restored map.
