How do I install MyTomTom on my computer?

The following navigation devices connect to MyTomTom: GO LIVE 2050, GO LIVE 1050, GO 1050, GO 1050 World, GO LIVE 1000, GO 1000, Via series, TomTom Connect.
Before you connect your navigation device to your computer for the first time, go to tomtom.com/getstarted and download the MyTomTom support application.
For detailed steps select your operating system from the list below:
- Windows 8

The steps below refer to Internet Explorer. If you’re using another browser the steps may vary.
- Check if your computer is compatible with MyTomTom. [ show me how... ]
- Go to www.tomtom.com/getstarted.
- Click Get Started.
- You may have to select your country to continue.
- On the left hand side, click Download MyTomTom.
We recommend downloading the file to your computer by clicking Save.
- Once the download is complete, click Run.
If you accidentally close the Download complete window, locate the file InstallMyTomTomSA.exe on your computer and double-click it.
- If you get a User Account Control window click Yes.
- To read the end user licence agreement, click the link Licence Agreement.
- To accept the terms in the licence agreement, select I Agree, then click Install.
MyTomTom is installed on your computer.
- Connect your navigation device to your computer.
Once connected, you see a computer icon in the Driving View of your navigation device.

In case your navigation device does not connect to MyTomTom, you need to check the connectivity and settings of your computer. [ show me how... ] |

- Go to www.tomtom.com/getstarted.
- You may have to select your country to continue.
- Click Get Started.
- On the left hand side, click Download MyTomTom.
The download starts. When finished, MyTomTom is saved in your downloads folder.
- Click the Finder icon in the Dock to switch to Finder.

- From the Finder menu at the top of the screen, click Go and choose Downloads.
Your Downloads folder opens.
- Double-click MyTomTomSE.dmg.

- Double-click MyTomTomSA.pkg.
The MyTomTom installer opens.
- Click Continue.
- To read the end user licence agreement, click the link www.tomtom.com/legal/?Page=Eula.
- Click Continue.
You are asked to agree to the terms of the software license agreement.
- Click Agree to continue.
- Click Install.
- Enter your admin password.
If you are not allowed to administer the computer, contact the admin for the computer.
- Click Install Software.
MyTomTom is installed on your computer.
- Click Close.
Tip: To add MyTomTom to your dock, drag its icon from the Applications folder to the dock. To open the Applications folder, click Go in the Finder menu and then choose Applications.
